A month after moving into their first home—and six months pregnant with their third son—Melissa and Jason Jacobi never imagined a perfect summer afternoon would take a devastating turn. What began as a simple walk and backyard barbecue ended in a nightmare when their son, Luca, spiked a 104-degree fever and had a seizure on the couch. Jason and Melissa sprang into action, dialing 911. Initial tests at the hospital led to an urgent transfer to a children’s hospital, where doctors confirmed their worst fear—Luca had Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).

Luca’s diagnosis—Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL)—is an aggressive form of blood cancer. While treatable, the journey ahead is daunting, requiring two to three years of intensive treatment. Amid this battle, Jason and Melissa reached out to Believe Big and received a grant to consult with an integrative pediatric oncology practitioner. This specialist is helping Luca complement his conventional treatments with supplements and innovative therapies tailored to support him through different treatment phases.
